Chapin Town Hall

Mayor's Message

Greetings,

I can't believe we are just one day away from Christmas. It has been a busy year but it has certainly flown by. Last week at Town Hall we enjoyed a lunch celebration with the staff. It was nice to spend some quality time in fellowship with our staff. They work so hard throughout the year it was a delight to spend an hour breaking bread and spreading holiday cheer.

I had the opportunity Thursday morning to deliver some of our areas famous Chickenbutt doughnuts to our public service personnel. It was a small gesture of appreciation for all that they do throughout the year. If you have an opportunity to see one of our officers, fire safety personnel, first responders or a lineman, please thank them for all they do. In an emergency situation these are the folks that we would depend on to keep us safe and keep the lights on.

I ended the week with my beautiful wife, Holly, at the Chamber of Commerce Holiday Drop-In. Our business community is thriving and a strong Chamber is part of the reason why. We strive to have good relationships with all our local businesses and we will continue to work on this throughout the year.

As a reminder, Town Hall will be closed Monday, December 24 - Wednesday, December 26 in observance of the Christmas holiday.

I hope you and yours have a safe and wonderful holiday.

Warmest Regards
Mayor David Knight
