Chapin's Community of Character Service Day brings together residents of all ages for a variety of volunteer and service projects. Started in 2000 by former Mayor Stan Shealy, the event fosters community pride and serves as a constant reminder of the benefits of giving back to your local community.
We have volunteers of all ages from area schools, churches, business, civic groups, and individuals that came out to support a wide range of projects, including area clean ups, beautification, supporting the elderly, helping youth, and feeding the poor.
