Hospitality Tax

The hospitality tax is a uniform tax of 2% on the gross proceeds derived from the sales of prepared meals, food, and beverages sold in or by establishments, or those licensed for on-premises consumption of alcoholic beverages, beer, or wine.

Envision Chapin

The plan relates existing conditions to a corresponding list of short, medium, and long term goals that reflect how the town should grow over the next ten years in order to maintain and enhance the current quality of life that makes Chapin a distinct and desirable community in which to live. The ultimate goal of the plan is to establish a set of guidelines and procedures that will serve as a tool for making informed decisions about land development, economic growth, infrastructure improvements, housing and transportation needs, and protecting natural and cultural resources.

Old Timey Christmas

Folks, it’s that time of year again. Throw on your Santa hat and don’t forget your Christmas list because Old Timey Christmas has returned to Chapin for the 3rd year. This night of holiday cheer includes the tree lighting at 6:30 pm, visits from Santa & Mrs. Claus, and special readings from some of our favorite people in Chapin. You can also visit with our fun volunteers at the children's activities, sing along with our carolers, and listen to live music while shopping with our hand-picked Christmas vendors. We hope to see you all there!
