The Chapin Star
CAE award with Laura Culler

Chapin wins CAE Award

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has once again awarded the Town of Chapin with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. The town has received this award for the 5th consecutive time and it is given as recognition of the town's fiscal year that ended on December 21, 2021.

According to the press release sent out by the GFOA, "The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the highest standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential user and user groups to read the report".

The release also mentions that the award is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting and that its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

This process is managed by the Town's Financial Director,  Laura Culler, and demonstrates the Town of Chapin's commitment to financial excellence.
