Squat for Spot - A fundraiser for Homeward Bound Pet Rescue2017-12-02T09:30:00As everyone knows, we at Athlete's Arena are passionate about animals. It’s because of our love for animals that we have decided to host a fundraising event to raise money for Homeward Bound Pet Rescue.
Homeward Bound is an all-volunteer, nonprofit animal rescue in the Columbia/Irmo area. Their goal is to make a difference in our community by rescuing stray, homeless and abandoned animals primarily dogs, from high-kill shelters and from owners who can no longer provide for them. This event will feature workouts & scaling options are available. The fee is $25 and all proceeds will go directly to Homeward Bound and are tax deductible.
If you cannot participate in the workouts, please consider contributing.

Public Information Session2019-10-03T18:00:00The Town of Chapin has been working with several groups including the community engagement council, small businesses and the planning commission on projects that would increase the economic vitality and quality of life for our community. Access to green space, a welcoming gateway to our community, signage to enhance the vibrancy of our town and an accessible safe, walkable town center are some of the desires we are trying to address. Funding has become a major obstacle in addressing these issues. One of the potential funding vehicles identified to create viable solutions has been a hospitality tax. We invite the public to attend our drop in public information session regarding a hospitality tax. There will be representatives to answer questions, an interactive opportunity to provide feedback and information on impacts to our community.
