Boards & Commissions
The Town of Chapin has several volunteer boards, commissions, and committees who support the Town elected officials and staff with programs and activities conducted in and around the Chapin community. If you are interested in serving with one of these groups, please complete the Boards and Committees Application (PDF) and submit it to the Chapin Town Hall by mail, in person, or by email.
Members of the Planning Commission, Architectural Review Board and Zoning Board of Appeals are appointed by the Town Council for staggered three-year terms.
The Chapin Historical Society is a voluntary committee that is open to citizens and business leaders for participation.

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission serves in an advisory capacity, makes recommendations to Town Council on zoning and annexation issues; reviews and approves all new subdivisions and is involved in comprehensive planning to improve the health and welfare of the public.

Architectural Review Board
The Architectural Review Board makes sure plans and models for new and improved structures meet architectural standards set forth in zoning ordinance.

Board of Zoning Appeals
The Zoning Board of Appeals meets as needed to review variance requests, appeals, and special exception requests.

Chapin Historical Association
The Chapin Historical Society is charged with helping the Town preserve the history of Chapin.
